Details : With a history that dates back to the 15th century, no other course can rival St Andrews’ claim as the “Home of Golf.” Historic significance aside, the Old Course presents several unique challenges. Very few golfers leave St Andrews without spending some time in one of the 112 bunkers. Additionally, the greens are very large; some measure more than an acre in size. Approach shots that land on the wrong side of the green often lead to enormous putts. As a general rule, many golfers have found it helpful to always keep it left on the Old Course.
