Details : In 1981, architect Pete Dye completed the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass, considered by many to be the debut of stadium golf. Located at PGA TOUR Headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, the Stadium Course at Sawgrass is the permanent home of the annual Players Championship. With its pothole bunkers, small greens and angular fairways, the 415 acre course offers a memorable experience for even the most avid golfers. Water comes into play on almost every hole, especially the signature 17th par-3 island green.
