Details : The Ailsa Course at Turnberry is one of Scotland’s greatest stretches of coastal golf. The course covers over 7,000 yards and weaves between sandy dunes and craggy rocks. As an additional test of skill, the weather can change hourly so be extra mindful of the wind. The back nine is mostly inland, but no less a challenge – holes 15 through 18 have been known to make or break a game. So while you enjoy the stunning views of the Turnberry Lighthouse and the Isle of Arran, remember the strategy here is not one of great power, but rather one of shot control and finesse.
