1. Use the truck stick wisely. I have had it cause some costly fumbles late int he game. Resort to using the Y or triangle button late in the game instead to cover up the ball.
2. In the open field with 1 defender to beat and a big running back the truck stick is golden. With more than one defender the truck stick animation slows you down and gives the other defenders time to close in.
3. Hit it early. It takes a bit for the animation to start.
4. One of the best place to use it is with a big running back and being close to the first down marker. Use it to get that extra yard or two and not have to worry about a 3rd and 1 or 2.
5. Avoid using it with WR's all it will do is get you in trouble and cause a turnover.
