| EA has struggled to find a successful formula for most of the games it has released on the Wii, but with 2k Sports releasing their NHL game for only the Wii this year it comes as no surprise that EA has chosen to shake things up by announcing "NHL Slapshot" for the Wii. According to a report on Gamespot, "the game will launch September 7, alongside the Xbox 360 and PS3 debuts of NHL 11".
