I'm the one who called it a "hot audible" (lack of better term). Its when u hold R1 at the play call screen then select a play...that play then becomes your "R1" audible. U don't have to pause and go to "coaching strategies" to change it. U can select a different play every down if u want. Gives u a run/pass option for each play.
Heres how it works.
1. Go to whatever formation you are going to pick your play from.
2. If you plan on choosing to have a run play as your starting play, find a passing play that you would like to have be a hot audible, or find a run going in the other direction or a toss play. I'll call this the "secondary play"
3. Hold down R1, then press whatever button the secondary play is. You will hear a click. Whatever button your secondary play is, it overrides your audible for that button on that particular play.
4. Pick the play you wanted originally. I will call this your starting play.
5. When you get to the line, you will be running your starting play. If you want to switch to your secondary play, hit square (audible) and then whatever button your secondary play was at the play select screen.
6. The secondary play is now your current play.
