Online gamers have been complaining of cheesy gameplay online since playing online began. It's nothing new, and while game developers such as
EA have done their best to reduce it there can be no doubt cheesy antics still occur online especially when you play a complete stranger from the lobby. But what exactly is cheese. Two frequently used terms amongst Madden online gamers are enhanced blitzes and nano-blitzes. An enhanced blitz is where you use the AI to put extra pressure on the QB reducing the amount of time you have to attempt a pass and generally sacking the QB. It can be defended but with difficulty and it's an AI exploit. A nano blitz is an out and out cheat, where you just abuse the AI to put massive pressure on the QB. It involves carefully placing your DB's into specific positions such that once the ball is snapped the AI is completely confused as to what is going on and unable to offer the QB any protection. Apparently if you believe some people there is a difference however ... so much so an enhanced blitz is not considered cheesy in some quarters. Most gamers on Madden Planet would disagree, but we'd like to know your thoughts on the issue. Do you use enhanced blitzes ? Have you encountered these cheesy tactics online ? Does it frustrate and irritate you to the point where you no longer want to play online ? Hopefully we can use the information you provide us to help
EA to eliminate cheesy tactics from future versions of Madden. Post your comments on cheesy online play on our
