Q: What is my
EA Rep?
Your
EA Rep measures your online reputation in the
EA online world. This number is attached to your
EA Account and shows your past game play behavior (both positive and negative) across all
EA SPORTS titles that you play online.
Q: What does my
EA Rep do for me?
Your
EA REP will either make you look like somebody worth challenging to an online game, or expose you to be a cheeser and a chump. Everyone will be able to see it. Because the Rep is based on player integrity, it is a great factor when deciding whether or not you want to take someone on in an online match.
Q: How do I earn points?
Everyone starts with the same amount of points when they begin playing 2005
EA SPORTS console titles. You can boost your bad-ass factor by being cool – not disconnecting, playing lots of games, and completing tournaments. You can also get some bonus Rep points by increasing your accountability to
EA - give us an accurate e-mail address, and you’ll get an easy Rep boost. Everything else is down to how you play the game. Simple, right?
Q: How do I lose points?
Your Rep will dwindle real fast if you do things like violate our Terms of Service agreement (if you don’t know what that is, go read it), quitting or disconnecting from games, or bailing on a tournament. Watch yourself!
Q: Does it affect who I can play?
Is grass green? You bet your
EA Rep affects who you can play. If you want to play with the top gamers, you have to act like you are one of them, and that means having a good reputation. As you begin to develop your
EA Rep by playing more frequently or establishing typical gaming habits, you can associate yourself with players that have a similar Rep.
Q: Can I clear my Rep?
Nope, you’ve got one shot at an
EA Rep with your Master Account. Mess this up, and you’ll have to work hard at earning back your points.
Q: How many Reps do I get?
Just one. Your
EA Rep is attached to your Master Account and therefore carries across all
EA titles with any of your four PlayStation®2 online personas or your Xbox® LIVE Gamertag.
Q: Is my PS2 Rep the same as my Xbox Rep?
Yes. Your Playstation®2 personas and your Xbox® LIVE Gamertag are all attached to the same
EA Master Account that we are able to keep track of.
Q: What happens if I lose points?
Every time you do something that decreases your reputation you run the risk of dropping into a different level of honor. If your Rep is starting to look like a pitcher’s batting average, you might want to fix it real fast or you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone to play against online.
Q: Does having a higher Rep get me anything?
At this time there are no plans to award prizes to users with high reps. But, eventually you will get special access to certain online rooms (depending on game title) and will have little trouble finding online opponents who will match up with you.
Q: How do I find out what my
EA Rep is?
There are several ways. The easiest is by going to logging in to EASPORTS.com with your Master Account. Your
EA Rep will always be displayed in the personal info nav bar across the middle of the page. You can also find your Rep on the in-game Player Module. Just look for your name in any online lobby, click on it, and your rep will appear at the top of the screen with other player stats.
Q: Can others see my
EA Rep?
Of course. The whole point of the
EA Rep is for others to see what type of gamer you are. Your
EA Rep will be available for others to view on the in-game Player Module and on your
EA SPORTS Career Page.
